Apology and Update June 10, 2008

I am sorry that I have not been around in awhile, it seems like life happens all at once and you can no longer partake in the things you love.  There is a laundry list of reasons as to why I have not been present, but I will spare you the excuse overload.  Here is the update:

I did finish taking the 15 drop doses, but I found that I would have to skip a day in between them.  I would get diarrhea, but not right after the MMS, but right after eating even a day or so later.  So I decided to take a day skip a day and do that until I have been there a week.  I am now at the 6 drop maintenance dose, and it says to take that daily for older people and weekly for younger.  I am still trying to decide if I am older or younger…lol.  I hardly consider 30’s older, but who knows what the author considered older.  So here is what  I decided.  Instead of factoring in only age, I decided to factor in my lifestyle as well.  Since I am in my early 30’s, I figured that is not “older”.  However, I am a smoker and I work a physical job, and I don’t take care of myself the way I should, so I figure that puts me in an at risk group so take it daily as if I am “older”.  It makes since to me to factor in lifestyle, as often times age as little to do with illness or pathogens.

Now, on another note, the MMS itself has not relieved the allergies.  Although, taking only the MMS has lessened the effects.  For me, the magic mixture is Propolis in the morning and MMS in the evening, that keeps my allergies at bay completely.  I had to go off the Propolis completely to arrive at this conclusion, and the sneezing and eye allergies have come back, but not as they have been in the past.  Before taking any supplements, I would sneeze all day, my right eye would swell, sinus pressure, goo in my eyes every morning, and my throat would be scratchy.  With only the MMS, I would sneeze about 5 times a day, the eye would swell, the goo was present, the pressure was present, and the throat would become scratchy late in the day.  With the Propolis alone, the allergies were not present and I was symptom free completely.  So I think that MMS has very little to do with the allergies, but it seems to lessen the allergic reactions I have.

Now my husband no longer gets the sinus reaction he was having for awhile, you can find that in another post, but he is still having the reaction in his fingertips.  We will keep chugging along until we notice some change.  The bad thing with nail fungus, it takes so long to see results, even with prescription meds.  We will have to wait until we see some healthy regrowth to know if the MMS has worked.  Personally, I think it will work I just think it will take time.

Allergies and Propolis April 29, 2008

I have noticed that my allergies stay at bay, as long as I continue the propolis.  Just out of curiosity, I stopped taking it for 2 day intervals to see if it was the propolis, the mms, or if I just outgrew them.  What I found was that the allergy symptoms seem to return, mildly at first, when I have not had the supplement for 48 hours.  Even while I am taking the MMS supplement.  I also found that when the allergy symptoms start, I can head them off with a 2 capsule dose in just about 15 mins.  It’s awesome, no more “knock me out” allergy meds for my family and I.  I have also not had to medicate the children for allergies since they started on the liquid propolis.  This is truly remarkable!

This is the first bee product I have ever tried, and I am thoroughly impressed.  I truly didn’t expect much from it, and now I won’t “bee” without it.  I have used it on everything from cuts, to painful bruises, to a bitten lip and cheek, to cat scratches, toothaches, and everything in between.  With the most impressive being the fact that I no longer medicate for allergies.  I have not been allergy med free in 14 years, granted they are not gone but they are supressed.  It makes me wonder if they are supressed long enough, will they be gone eventually?  Only time will tell I guess.

Here’s to living unmedicated, and God Bless!

The video is not in English, so I have know idea what it says.  I just thought it was interesting.

Propolis April 9, 2008

Nearly two months ago, I stumbled upon Propolis.  If you aren’t familiar with it, it is a bee product that is used in sealing the hive.  It is also used to mummify intruders that are too large to remove from the hive after they are dead, to prevent the spread of disease and bacteria.  On recommendation from someone at a forum, I bought my own from Durham’s Bee Farm.  I purchased it to ease the pain of a toothache, after chipping a tooth.  The forum member stated that his Asian wife put some on a cotton swab for him, for the same problem.

As I was awaiting arrival, I searched the internet high and low for it.  I found some pretty impressive information, which I won’t get into now.  Just search the word “Propolis” and you will find everything you ever wanted to know and then some.  So, I bought it as a antiseptic/topical pain reliever, and it works great for that.  However, I found a better use for it that suited my family and myself.

I noticed that topically, it eases pain, stops bleeding, and seems to prevent infection in superficial wounds.  When taken orally, for my family, it has really eased our allergies.  I have had seasonal/environmental/food allergies since giving birth to my oldest child 14 yrs ago.  I take something daily for it from March-November and then as needed during the remainder of the year.  I have taken everything you can think of between prescription and OTC allergy meds.  The effect was always the same, I would feel good so long as it was in my system, but when the meds wore off the symptoms were back.  I hate the thought of medicating myself and my children daily, with something that was just masking our symptoms and making us think we felt better.  Truth is, you are not curing or preventing anything.

My Propolis Regimen is as follows:

20 drops at bedtime, followed by 8 oz of water.  You don’t have to do the water, but if you taste the propolis you will definitely want the water.  My husband is a larger man, so I give him 30 per day followed by water.

Kids

5 for the younger one, and 10 for the oldest.  This has almost completely eliminated their seasonal allergy symptoms.  They have not been medicated for allergies at all this year.  They have been taking propolis for 3-4 wks, as I always take a new supplement for awhile before giving it to them.

Currently I am taking YS Organic Royal Jelly/Bee Pollen/Propolis capsules, still the allergies have not come back.  My husband and I are taking 2 capsules at night, but the kids are still taking the liquid for now.  When taking the capsules for the first time, it seemed to induce an allergy attack about 30 mins after taking.   The symptoms lasted all night and the next morning they were gone again, and it has not happened since.  The advantage of the capsules is strictly taste, they have very little taste unless left in the mouth too long prior to swallowing.  The liquid has far more advantages since you can take it internally or apply it topically.  We have used it on everything from toothaches to cat scratches, with great success.

Remember, if you are allergic to bees you need to excercise caution when taking any bee product.

PS

I forgot to add that I have not had menstrual cramps in the 2 mos I have been taking propolis.  I take this to be a very good side effect, as I typically have debilitating cramps.
