I may have to eat my words… March 28, 2009

My husband and I were talking about the nail fungus after I made my post the other night, I said that MMS didn’t seem to do anything for his nail fungus.  He commented that his one thumb nail was growing in normally and not thick.  I looked for myself and it is a 99% normal looking nail.  Why he had not mentioned this to me sooner, I can’t explain that.  Was it the MMS, I can’t say that either.  I can tell you that out of 10 fingers and 10 toes, he had nail fungus bad on 7 fingers and 10 toes.  Thick, brittle, flaking, yellowy fungified nails (my own new word…lol).  The thumb looks completely normal everywhere except the very tip of the nail.  It still has a little thickness to it and apppears that there is somthing under the tip.

I wanted to get pictures of his nails awhile ago, but he is very embarassed of them and still will not let me snap a photo.  Maybe I will try when he is sleeping, so you can see the old nails compared to the new growth.  So far that is the only nail that we have noticed a recovery in, as the others he is constantly messing with.  I told him to leave them alone to see if they grow in healthy too.

I would like to say it is the MMS, but again I have no idea.  The only things we take are the MMS and Propolis.  I am now hopeful again, on the nail fungus front.  It would be nice to see him not hide his fingers anymore.

I am not biased or dead…UPDATE March 26, 2009

I am sorry to report to those of you who think I am biased because I deleted comments.  The only comments I have deleted are spam that somehow made it through.  I have no reason to be biased as I have no financial interest in MMS at all.  I know it has been a very long time since I posted, I can’t even tell you all the things that have happened in that time.

I can tell you that I still take MMS (not regularly)but I am very low and need to reorder.  I do need to get back on it regularly, and my husband has said the same thing.  We do not have half the health issues now that we once did, believe it or not.  I can tell you that the most of the issues we were taking the MMS for did not return upon stopping.  We didn’t even decide to stop taking it, we just had such a hectic time that free time has been minimal, and our schedules rarely ever coincide anymore.  He won’t take it unless I mix it for him,  I have tried to get him to learn he still won’t.

What MMS didn’t do, it didn’t do anything for skin tags, warts on my youngest daughter’s hand, or nail fungus.  Although my husband did have tingling in his fingers, it didn’t seem to do anything for the fungus itself.

What it did do.  I did lose nearly 20 lbs while on it, felt great, slept great, and didn’t eat as much junk food.  I do not know what to attribute that eating better to, the MMS or the renewed self-confidence from the weight loss.  I have still not gained back the pounds and I am thrilled with that.

The fish did finally die although MMS brought her several more days.  She died Dec. 14th 2008.  I gave her the initial dose of MMS and chronicled her reaction, she did very well.   About 8 days before she died she was floating and barely breathing, I did the MMS and then 12 hours later a water change.  She ate and swam and seemed normal for the next week, when I got home from work she was floating in the tank like before and I tried the MMS it did not save her a third time.  She was 5 years old, and a Sarassa Comet for those of you who did not read the post.

Odd things that I have noticed since starting the MMS.  I have not been sick at all this winter, not once.  I am a smoker and I haven’t even had bronchitis, which I normallly get twice a winter.  I also manage a retail store, and am in contact with sick people and vomiting children all winter long, and sitll nothing.  I do not know if this is MMS related or Propolis related, or what the deal is.  My youngest who does take MMS has not been sick this winter, even with a kid throwing up on her desk, and her lactose intolerance is gone, I do not know what this is about either.  My oldest who does not take MMS has had 3 head colds this year, but she is a competition cheerleader and very run down during the winter months.  Again I am not sure if this is a result of the MMS or not, but I can say October-December in retail is no walk in the park and working 70 hours a week at times I got pretty run down too and still have not been sick.

My gall bladder has not acted up since starting the MMS, however I am taking an enzyme too but before going on the enzyme the gall bladder had not acted up.  Prior to going on MMS it was a daily thing, anytime I ate or drank anything I would get palpitations in my gall bladder that would cause debilitating pain and endless bouts of diarrhea.  Completely gone now, but as I said my junk food intake decreased so, who knows.  Just something to ponder.  My husband has not had a bout of cellulitis since first starting the MMS, and his nose has not ran when he ate in several months.  Normally we could not get through a meal without him sniffling and snorting.  I do have to say that his snoring returned shortly after being off the MMS.  His sleeplessness also returned after he stopped taking it.  Coincidence, maybe or maybe not.  Who knows????

I plan to reorder ASAP and get back up to the 15 drop dose and then go onto the maintenance phase and stay there.  I have a vacation coming up in the near future and plan to get up to the 15 and down to maintenance in that time.  It is definitely a supplement I will continue to take.  I have not had any side effects to speak of, I did have some bad herxing days but even after awhile that stopped and it was really smooth sailing.  The company I am looking to buy it from this time also sells a rice syrup flavoring so you can take it with water and mellow the taste a bit.  I will let you know how that goes, but right now I am having a hard time deciding what flavor will go with MMS.  I am thinking about grape, but I am not positive.  Just watermelon and MMS sounds repulsive.  They have several flavors to choose from so I am trying to figure the least repulsive, and I do remember that grape juice made the MMS go down easier than Apple did toward the end of my experiment.

Again for those of you that think I am biased, that is okay.  I know what is what in my life and I am not asking you to believe a word I say.  I can’t even tell you that MMS will do anything for you, I can’t tell you that it will cure you of anything, I can’t say if it is bad for you or not.  I cannot even fault you, I started this blog because I thought I couldn’t get an honest answer anywhere, so I applaud your skeptisism!

MMS Update June 22, 2008

My mother has been taking the MMS for about 2 weeks now.  She has noticed that her ear is popping, which I guess is a good thing for her.  She has had this feeling of water in her ear or something plugging it for sometime now, she sees and acupuncturist to get it to open up temporarily.  She hit her magic number earlier this week, hers was 8 drops MMS.  After taking the 8 drop dose, she experienced vomiting and diarrhea.  She said her nose is running all the time now, which could be related to the ear issue, I am not sure.  She is also now giving it to her husband, he has a deviated septum and his nose is now constantly running too.  I am not sure why they experienced this, as I did not, but I know my husband had this issue also but his was temporary.

I cannot list their health issues in detail, as I do not know all the little things they decided to take the MMS for.  I do know that my mother has Barret’s Esophagus, shoulder issues, thyroid problem (small goiter), and a plethora of little issues.  Her husband has high triglycerides, diabetes, high cholesterol, and he is a smoker.  I will try to keep you updated as they keep me updated with any progress.  Maybe Tiger Woods needs some too, lol.

On to New Things June 14, 2008

Well, there isn’t much more I can say about our MMS journey, now it is just wait and see time.  We are hoping that the MMS will cure the nail fungus my husband has, but we won’t know for quite sometime.  Regrowth takes so long, and I am extremely impatient.  I guess that is why MMS was so good for us, it worked and it worked quickly on most everything.  Great supplement for those that are impatient, and now it is added permanently to our daily supplements.  I will definitely keep you posted on any relapses or anything new that pops up while on MMS, but I won’t be blogging about that so much anymore.  It is time to move on to other things.

I am not sure yet, but I think our next journey will be a weight loss journey.  Afterall, how can the MMS truly eliminate everything if we still continue to practice poor lifestyle habits?  Things we are considering for our weightloss supplements are; Commiphora Mukul (Guggul), Nettle, Green Tea, Cayenne and a couple others.  We may even combine a couple, adding one at a time to make sure there are no ill-effects from supplement mixing.  Possible two or three with a diet high in green tea, and perhaps cutting out all or most HCFS (High Fructose Corn Syrup), but that will be a challenge in and of itself.  I am going to do some supplement research this weekend and perhaps have an answer by Monday or something more concrete.

Here is the nitty gritty, I am about 30-40 lbs overweight, and my husband is morbidly obese and needs to shed a lot of weight.  Not only do we need to do it for health reasons, but it just seems like a good thing to do and hope for some results.  I can say that the MMS has helped him get a bit more active, and that is a good starting point.  He has already played golf twice this month, and that is a huge positive for us.

Apology and Update June 10, 2008

I am sorry that I have not been around in awhile, it seems like life happens all at once and you can no longer partake in the things you love.  There is a laundry list of reasons as to why I have not been present, but I will spare you the excuse overload.  Here is the update:

I did finish taking the 15 drop doses, but I found that I would have to skip a day in between them.  I would get diarrhea, but not right after the MMS, but right after eating even a day or so later.  So I decided to take a day skip a day and do that until I have been there a week.  I am now at the 6 drop maintenance dose, and it says to take that daily for older people and weekly for younger.  I am still trying to decide if I am older or younger…lol.  I hardly consider 30’s older, but who knows what the author considered older.  So here is what  I decided.  Instead of factoring in only age, I decided to factor in my lifestyle as well.  Since I am in my early 30’s, I figured that is not “older”.  However, I am a smoker and I work a physical job, and I don’t take care of myself the way I should, so I figure that puts me in an at risk group so take it daily as if I am “older”.  It makes since to me to factor in lifestyle, as often times age as little to do with illness or pathogens.

Now, on another note, the MMS itself has not relieved the allergies.  Although, taking only the MMS has lessened the effects.  For me, the magic mixture is Propolis in the morning and MMS in the evening, that keeps my allergies at bay completely.  I had to go off the Propolis completely to arrive at this conclusion, and the sneezing and eye allergies have come back, but not as they have been in the past.  Before taking any supplements, I would sneeze all day, my right eye would swell, sinus pressure, goo in my eyes every morning, and my throat would be scratchy.  With only the MMS, I would sneeze about 5 times a day, the eye would swell, the goo was present, the pressure was present, and the throat would become scratchy late in the day.  With the Propolis alone, the allergies were not present and I was symptom free completely.  So I think that MMS has very little to do with the allergies, but it seems to lessen the allergic reactions I have.

Now my husband no longer gets the sinus reaction he was having for awhile, you can find that in another post, but he is still having the reaction in his fingertips.  We will keep chugging along until we notice some change.  The bad thing with nail fungus, it takes so long to see results, even with prescription meds.  We will have to wait until we see some healthy regrowth to know if the MMS has worked.  Personally, I think it will work I just think it will take time.

MMS Day 24-30 May 13, 2008

The 15 drop dose no longer seems to make me nauseated, I consider this to be a good thing.  We are still trying to get the husband up to 15 drops.  Last night we gave him 11 without any side effects, so tonight we will do 12.  He seemed to be stuck between 9-11 drops for quite sometime.  I was beginning to wonder if the side effects were ever going to subside.  Now it seems they have and it is time to forge ahead.  I will keep you posted on his progress and any other changes I notice, as I am ready to drop back to the maintenance dose now.

Last night’s dose

11 X 55 X 1/2 c Water

15 X 75 X 1/2 c Water

MMS Day 18-23 May 6, 2008

Sorry I haven’t updated in a few days, my workload has been tremendous.  Unfortunately, more work does not seem to equal much more pay.  Perhaps it is time to find a new job, especially when you start to dread the one you are going to everyday.  Anyway, here is what is going on…

I have my husband back up to 10 drops, and it seems as if all side effects at that dosage have subsided.  Time for him to forge ahead.  I did change the activator to lemon juice, and it seems to make the taste of the MMS much stronger.  Now that I am at a 15 drop dose, I find the tartness of the lemon (75 drops) and apple juice to be too much for me to bear.  Tonight I tried the 15 drops with a 1/2 cup of water, and I found that to be way easier for me to take.  With the lemon and apple juice I found that even if I could get it passed my lips, my jaws would pucker so bad I couldn’t swallow it.  Sour or tart foods have never been a favorite of mine anyway, so I assume this is just personal preference.  However, the tartness did not bother me until I hit 15 drops.  You decide!

Tonight was my second 15 drop dose, and it is no joke.  I feel extremely nauseated right after drinking, but I have not vomited.  The nausea starts within minutes of drinking it and ends about 30 mins after it starts.  It isn’t a huge problem, but it doesn’t feel good.  So why keep taking it if you feel bad?  Simple, because I feel bad for a few minutes and better the rest of the time.  I cannot describe how much better I feel now compared to nearly a month ago.  I am not sure I can do the 15 drop dose for too long, I think it is recommended to be there for a week, not sure I can do that.  I will do it for as long as I can tolerate the taste, then I will go ahead and drop down to the maintenance dose.

PM dose today as follows:

15 X 75 LJ X 1/2 c Distilled Water

MMS Day 16 and 17 April 29, 2008

Day 16

I took one 12 drop dose, no side effects to report.  Just to let you know, I changed the activator with this dosage.  The taste was slightly better with the lemon juice.  No side effects to report.

12 drops X 60 drops Lemon Juice X 1/2 cup GJ

Day 17

I took a dose first thing this morning, and it set the pace for the entire day.  I have had diarrhea since 8 am this morning.  I went up to 13 drops after not having any side effects with the 12 drop dose.  The diarrhea came on within an hour of the first dose, and continues any time I try to put something in my mouth.  Drinking or eating will start it all over again.  Not sure why this is, I guess no pain no gain.

AM Dose

13 X 65 LJ X 1/2 c AJ

The evening dose I dropped back 2 drops, as I think the 13 drop dose is too much for today.  My husband is at 9 drops today, and his sinuses are still swelling after drinking it.  The good news is, that he no longer gets a runny nose and redness, now it is just puffy.  I will assume this is good.  Forward progress is the name of the game, so to speak.

PM Dose

11 X 55 LJ X 1/2 c AJ

9 X 45 LJ X 1/2 c AJ

MMS Day 14 and 15 April 27, 2008

Day 14 was one 9 drop dose for me and the same for my husband.

Day 15 I made my husband an 8 drop dose in the morning, and a 10 drop dose for myself.  In the evening my husband had another 8 drop dose and I had an 11 drop dose.  No side effects for me, his sinuses are still being affected by the MMS.  During the morning dose, he still had the red puffy triangle pop up between his eyes and he could feel something going on above his eyebrows.  During the evening dose, he didn’t feel anything going on, but the triangle popped up again.  Just for the record, he has suffered with sinus issues, not allergy related, since he was about 5 or 6.  His sinuses always start draining during a meal, and often don’t let up for 30-40 mins after eating.  As for me, no side effects to report from either dosage.

8 X 1/2 tsp X 1/2 c grape juice

11 X 1/2 tsp X 1/2 c GJ

It has been said that you should take acidophilus during your MMS treatment, and I now strongly advise it.  The week we were off MMS do to water issues, I developed a minor yeast infection.  I say minor because there was discharge only, no itching or any other symptoms.  It has since been knocked by restarting the MMS protocol.  So now I know, to supplement with the good bacteria.  You live and learn!

PS

The 8-11 drop dosage taste much better with grape juice.  Pineapple juice didn’t suit my palate at all, and apple juice was okay until about 6-7 drops.  Taste wise, grape seems to be the best choice for both of us.

Other Avenues to Explore April 25, 2008

I am ready to move into other aspects of MMS.  I already know that it can be taken orally without nasty side effects, perhaps it can be taken other ways too.

Things to Do

  1. Make a mouthwash
  2. Make a douche
  3. Try it topically
  4. Try in unactivated

These are a few other avenues I would like to explore, however I really don’t know where to begin.  I will be looking for answers to these questions, feel free to leave any ideas you may have.

Here is a website that now sells a chlorine dioxide toothpaste http://breathaid.com/ It is called CLoSys II

There is another website, I can’t remember the name, that sells a whole line of chloine dioxide oral health products.  If I stumble across it, I will post the link.
